I remember saving up my lunch money for a while to buy The Rolling Stones’ “A Bigger Bang”. Around that time I also bought “Sentimental” by Tanita Tikaram and “Playing the Angel” by Depeche Mode, all of them in the late 2005. I know it’s late for “a first record”, but my parents are music nerds and I’ve always had something to listen to while growing up.
